Hi I was pulled over bu cops in New Jersey and got ticket for having International Driver s licence from my country Georgia which is issued by government. I had to go to court and pay fine almost $400. they told me if I live in New Jersey I should have NJ DL. Law requires. I have question, if I get this DL can I drive in New jersey?

INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENCE exist? Or are they all just Driver Permits emitted by National Auto Clubs. As I understand the IDP is a translations of the officially emitted Drivers license by each countries authority…? I have read in previous messages that the only valid IDP are the ones emitted by your National Auto Club, for instance I been Brazilian means I have to obtain the IDP from the “Automovel Club do Brasil” or the “Touring Club do Brasil” or I could get It form foreign Auto Clubs like your, where is this information confirmed? I will be using your IDP to drive in GUINEA BISSAU during my three years stay in there? The US$35 price you charge for a International Driver s License (book with 2 same regular plastic cards) would be valid for how long Thank in advance, Fernando
